
Blast Theory
Blast Theory is renowned internationally as one of the most adventurous artists groups using interactive media. Led by Matt Adams, Ju Row Farr and Nick Tandavanitj the group has a team of six and is based in London. The group's work explores interactivity and the relationship between real and virtual space with a particular focus on the social and political aspects of technology.
For the past three years, Blast Theory has been exploring the convergence of online and mobile technologies in collaboration with the Mixed Reality Lab at the University of Nottingham, to create groundbreaking new forms of performance and interactive art mixing audiences across the internet, live performance and digital broadcasting.
Can You See Me Now? won the Golden Nica for Interactive Arts at the 2003 Prix Ars Electronica and was nominated for a BAFTA Award in 2002.

Mixed Reality Lab
The Mixed Reality Laboratory (MRL) is an interdisciplinary research initiative at the University of Nottingham. The MRL brings together leading researchers from the Schools of Computer Science, Engineering and Psychology to research mixed reality - new technologies that merge the physical and digital worlds, focusing on playful, artistic and educational applications.
Equator
Equator is a six-year Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration (IRC) supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) that focuses on the integration of physical and digital interaction. It brings together researchers from eight different institutions and a variety of disciplines to address the technical, social and design issues in the development of new inter-relationships between the physical and digital.
